The Thanksgiving countdown starts today! What are you guys wearing? Reg will be hosting her family in Boston, so a normal, cute outfit can happen, while Christa will be up in New Hampshire at the Farm, so comfort/warmth will win over style.
Olivia’s festive look is perfect for Thanksgiving – mixing deep hues and trendy textiles like pleats, leather and metallics. A cozy but chic sweater mixed with a fun midi skirt and your favorite booties will keep you feeling cute but comfy all night long! Which is important for a holiday centered around eating…
Summer is officially here, people! We’ve had some ups and downs with the weather, but I think we’re finally feelin the heat. With this summer weather upon us, we’re starting to shape up our summer wardrobe. We’re always looking to other stylish bloggers for their warm weather looks (one of our favorite pinterest boards is our summer style board), and the ladies over at A Piece of Toast know how to style summer heat far better than us (Texas heat is not joke!). We’re all about rocking a good bandana and jean jacket, and this unique layered look is perfect for the indoor/outdoor struggles of the office. Happy copying 🙂
This outfit right here, might be our uniform. It’s perfect for pretty much any weekend hang, and it would be spot-on for a St. Patrick’s Day parade (which we’re assuming some of you might be attending this weekend). With our unpredictable New England weather, it covers the basics – can you add or take off a layer? do you still have a shape/style/look cute while maintaining correct layers? can you walk for long periods of time in this outfit? Check, check & check! Plus it’s green without screaming green (eek!), no pinches here 😉
Little Miss Liz over at Sequins & Stripes totally feels our pain when it comes to living in cold and windy cities. We love checking out her posts for winter outfit inspiration, because she’s out of Chicago, where things ain’t warm this time of year! (We’re looking at you, SoCal bloggers…)
We’re in love with this look for it’s simplicity and versatility — I mean how many times do you think she’s worn each and every item in that outfit? We’re gonna guess a bagillion. They’re all wardrobe staples that can be mixed up with other ensembles endlessly, which we totally appreciate when these winters feel like they may last forever.
So we’re sort of having mixed feelings right now about the upcoming change of the seasons. Here in New England, it’s been one of the hottest/sunniest weeks all summer, but the fact that it’s September is throwing us for a loop. We want to dress for fall, yet our attire needs to be able to handle these 94 degree days. We’ve realized that the best way around this is through our color choices and textures. Burgundy, black, and leather all scream fall, but the flowy silhouette and high-hems keep it summer-time cool.
Yayyyy it’s crazy cropped high-waisted patterned pant season! Get wild, ladies. Bust out those ankles and make those weird trousers that you’ve always loved work. The above look is great because it combines the comfort of a flouncy chambray with the a little bit of edge through the funky pants and height in the shoes. The trees are blooming, and so is our love of a swanky pants.
Next week is St. Patricks Day, and the next few weekends will be filled with green beer and celebrating. While green can be a great color, it’s not necessarily easy to wear – but as usual, Kat from With Love From Kat is rocking this sleek green trench. Check out below for our own take on her chic look:
Hallelujah, it’s big chunky scarf season. Pretty much the greatest thing about a brisk day, is the fact that we can walk around with blankets draped around our necks. Cathy from Poor Little It Girl made this cozy look beyond adorable, with some metallic flats and tight black skinnies. We wish we could make the plaid-on-plaid work the way she did, but let’s be real, that’s no easy feat, so we went with a mossy solid pullover.
As we begin our gradual transition into fall (le sigh), our wardrobe must do the same. An easy way to do so is by adding some structure to your ensemble, yet continuing to show off that tan you’ve worked so hard for. Shorts and a blazer are a great way to do this, and the look can easily transition from day to night with a simple swap of the shoes. Shout out to Gal Meets Glam for inspiring us with this killer look!
We love having fun with mixing prints, graphics, and colors, and since spring/summer is the perfect time to do so, we decided to steal this chick’s look, because we’re simply diggin’ it. The light cotton tee and the strappy sandals will keep you cool as the temps rise, but the pencil silhouette creates a sophistication. Pair it off with some diva sunnies, plus a bag and watch that pop, and you’re ready to rock. But to be honest, we’ve never tried this hair texturizer before — but the packaging was too cute to pass up!
