And it’s the weekend again, yes! Christa and Curtis are off to Syracuse to visit our good old pal, Johnny B and his delightful girlfriend, Emily, this weekend! We’re all wishing Reg could join, womp womp. Reg will be nursing a cold, but hoping to check an aboretum tour off of her Boston bucket list!

Have a great weekend, all!

Happy Friday, friends! We’re getting back into the swing of real life, but we’re still wishing we were back here! We had such an amazing time playing games, making food, puzzling, swimming and just hanging out (all 11 of us!). Take a peek at our 5 days in Old Lyme heaven 🙂

^ And last but not least, we had to pop into Lobster Landing after our friends over at CT Eats Out did such an amazing interview with the owner. The lobster rolls were fantastic and we saw Enea in his little uniform running around talking to people and making things happen!

Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday, loves — how’d you guys hold up this week? The week after Thanksgiving can sometimes feel extra long, but this year it didn’t seem too bad. This year we’re trying to be a little more conscious of our holiday habits — actively trying to keep our nutrition and exercise in check, and budgeting ourselves so we don’t overspend. It can be a challenge at times, but it seems to be helping, because we’re feeling good! Are you guys doing anything differently this year to feel a little more balanced? Hope you guys have a great weekend — see you on Monday!

Happy Weekend!

Hello, dearies — hope you all had a lovely week, and have an even lovelier couple of days ahead of you. We’re stunned that next week is Thanksgiving. How did that happen??? It feels like as we get older, time goes by so much quicker. Are any of you all feeling similarly?

This past week our small home town in CT experienced some devastating news about a young mother, a member of our graduating class, who suddenly passed. In combination of learning this, of the troubling news in Paris, as well as world-wide current events  — it’s definitely resulting in some self-reflection. This week we’re feeling especially grateful for our friends, family, and the wonderful community that we were raised in.

While we have mushy hearts this week, we also still have our care-free nature about us. We’ve rounded up our weekly links for you all, hope you enjoy, and we’ll see you on Monday 🙂

Weekend in Acadia

This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending my 4th of July in Acadia, Maine. I had never been, but a group of friends and I decided to Air bnb it — and I’m so glad we did! We stayed in the most darling little farm house in Sedgwick, about an hour south from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The home owners were so warm and generous, offering fresh produce and eggs from the farm during our stay. Ripe strawberries, blueberries, chives, chard— the works.

Friday night and Saturday day were pretty rainy, so we went antiquing in Ellsworth. Eventually the clouds parted to the most breathtakingly orange sunset below. On Sunday the weather couldn’t have been more ideal, so we headed out to the National Park. If you guys ever have the chance to go, you need to do the Beehive Summit hike. It’s a little nerve wrecking as you scale along the edge of massive cliffs, gripping onto iron bars planted into the rocks, but it was so worth it. The views are unreal and you feel on top of the world in every way possible. There’s also an awesome looking beach in the park that we really wish we had our suits for!

… and we obviously ate lots o’ lobster.
