An extra day off is music to our Mon-Friday-workin ears! If the weather is nice, round up those friends of yours and sit outside, light the grill and eats lots and lots of chips! Extra points if you can whip together a Pinterest worthy cocktail like above – cheers!

The best part about living in New England is the easy access to wonderful places within driving distance. An extra day off can extend any weekend trip into something a little more! Check out the dunes on Block Island, explore the mansions in Newport, or head to the woods – you’ve got a whole extra day, use it!

//03. Bike Ride
Sometimes a quaint little bike ride is all you need to make your extra time off that much better. In Boston and CT we’re big fans of the Charles River and Farmington River Trail. Where you guys like to cycle around?

//04. Movie Day
With the weather as unpredictable as it is round these parts, we sort of always need a plan b. A movie day with delicious treats sounds like just the thing! Make yourself a little spread and just let yourself be shamelessly lazy!

//05. Picnic
Picnic in the park anyone? Don’t mind if I do! A chilled glass of white and a caprese sandwich with a book sounds like an extremely pleasant way to spend these final few weekends of warmth. Relax and live it up!

Festival Fashion

Happy Monday y’all! Hope all of your weekends were relaxing and fun all at the same time. In case you haven’t noticed, festival fever is in full throttle right now, and everywhere we look we’re seeing some fresh festi fashions.

Now before we jump into this, have you guys heard of the Coachella Diet? The diet focuses on amping up your workout to the max before a festival weekend begins. In recent years, the media has made these festivals very image-driven, with a particular focus on crop tops and booty cut-offs. While we love ourselves some bohemian looks, we can’t emphasize enough our passion for a healthy body image. Let’s try to remember that these festivals are about music, fun with friends, and being carefree. You can still be gorgeous and trendy without crash dieting and worrying about your pant size beforehand.

On another (and more upbeat) note… Have you guys ever seen Jimmy Kimmel’s Lie Witness News, which pranks “music loving” hipsters at festivals? It’s worth a watch for a quick laugh!

St.Patty’s Day Get Ups

With St. Patty’s weekend almost in full swing, we realized adding the appropriate amount of green to an outfit can be hard. It’s fun to get a little festive, but green isn’t always the most flattering color. Luckily army green and hunter green are in right now! We’ve put together a few outfits for some very possible St. Patty’s day activities that require a little green, so it won’t look like a Leprechaun attacked you…

Parade // St.Patty’s Day in New England can still be a little chilly, especially when you’re outside all morning watching a parade. But this actually can work in our favor, because our bit of green is in this awesome army green parka. So throw this on after you’ve crafted a cute but comfy outfit to walk around and drink beers in. This tote is big enough to toss the jacket into if you’ve warmed up (liquid jacket anyone?) but make sure to keep it poking out a bit so you don’t get pinched!

Brunch // For the ladies who brunch, it’s all about comfort and ease. These cargo pants and their jazzy little zippers stand out, while the flowy tank will allow lots of leeway for your big Irish breakfast. Sneakers tone down your gold hardware, and a brown oversized cross body will make it easy to steal the extra biscuits from the bread basket.

Drinks // This lacy frock is easy to dress up or down, and perfect for a night of drinking some green beer with friends (last year we went with green champaign, because we’re classy). You’ll feel slim and sassy in some black skinnies and ankle booties, while staying practical with a light jacket and satchel.
