Bridal Shower Cards

This summer I have 2 wonderful weddings to attend, and they’re my first friend weddings (aka a non family related wedding)! I’m still getting used to all of the pre-wedding events – I’ll be going to 2 bridal showers and 1 bachelorette weekend (yay!).

This upcoming Saturday is my 1st bridal shower, with the 2nd in a few weeks. Snagging something off of their registry was pretty simple, but picking out a sweet bridal shower card to go with it ended up being harder than I thought! When you google “bridal shower card”, you get bridal shower invitations, which was not what I was looking for! Luckily I have some favorite stationery shops favorited and was able to find more celebratory cards turned bridal shower. Do you guys have a favorite bridal shower card you like to send out?

You might be thinking, what is NSS2015? WELL, it’s something you should know about – it’s the National Stationery Show, and it’s amazing. Unfortunately it’s not something everyone can attend (womp womp), but you can definitely be kept in the loop by social media. It’s a massive showcase of stationers large and small, and the best place to spot new trends, beautiful cards and hardworking companies. We’ve been keeping tabs via instagram (#nss and #nss2015) and here are some of our favorite sneak peeks!

Anticipated Exhibitor Participation: 800
Anticipated Worldwide Trade Attendees: 10,000

Happy hump day, friends! I cannot believe how happy I am to see 65 degree weather –  I was not quite ready for that heat! I am ready for ice cream, cute stationery and adorable Etsy items though. Check out our gathering of summer inspired fabrics (those nautical stripes, florals and flamingos are all calling my name!), fun calling cards and trendy jewelry…

Write a quick “hello” to someone you love, maybe invite them join you for some ice cream?

We’ve already discussed that we’re bag ladies…and check out all of these bags – they’re gorgeous!

Get outside, take in the beautiful surroundings and scribble something memorable down.

Guys, I went to a lovely concert last night (Sufjan Stevens), the weekend was wonderfully warm & I finally started refinishing a table for my new apartment that I’ve been meaning to revamp since college (4 years ago…), so let’s say that April is off to a good start! And this is why April’s Etsy Round Up is fun, colorful and inspiring! Let’s jump into spring with a bang!

Those are some cute handmade S&P shakers!

I’m thinking this bourbon & vanilla soap would go wonderfully with the sage & rose face mist

I want to hand these out to all of my friends because they’re the cutest!

“Let’s Get Coffee” Letterpressed Card

While the shipping requirements might be too short for these gifts to arrive before Christmas, you could think of this list as general holiday inspiration or a way to stock up for next year (you can never be too prepared…)! Either way, they’re too beautiful and fun not to share, so get buyin or get inspired, because these items are gorgeous!

I’ve always loved seeing gifts wrapped in beautiful fabric – and there are tons of online video tutorials on how to do it yourself!

If time slipped away from you this year, think about sending New Years cards & gifts instead!

Super fun party cups! I spy a quick and fun DIY with a gold sharpie and some quirky handlettering!

Furoshiki Cloth // 2015 Letterpressed Card // 2015 Tea Towel Calendar // Art Deco Wrapping Paper (*and make sure to check out the whole shop, the wrapping paper is out of this world!) // Metallic Birch Candle Holders (*I’m also obsessed with these vintage glitter wall hangings!) // “Yeah, it’s spiked” Paper Cups

Fill-in-the-Blank Invites

I created this fill-in-the-blank invitation for work {Hartford Prints!} and Reg and I discovered our love for fill-in invites! They’re fun, nostalgic (4th grade birthday parties, anyone?), and most importantly – easy! You can use them for engagement parties, baby showers, “we’ve moved” announcements, or as plan old, “we’re havin a party, come on over!” invites.

We were able to find some other cute fill-in options – check them out:

Hartford Prints!

Happy Monday friends! So, I’ve been hinting that I had gotten a new job a little while ago, and I’m so happy to announce that I’m the new designer for Hartford Prints! Reg & I had actually wanted to do a feature on them for awhile now (because they’re fantastic and rep Hartford in the best ways possible), but I’m even more excited to do it now because I have the inside scoop. They are a family run letterpress & design studio (besides us newbies – you can read about their super inspiring start here) who strive for unique ideas, creative excellence, and a fun atmosphere. And today I’m here to show you some of their fantastic work!

All of these lovely items are found in their Etsy shop here, or in their downtown Hartford shop on 42 1/2 Pratt Street (definitely stop by, it’s adorable!). My new position will be helping with their ever expanding custom letterpressed wedding invitations/suites, logos, collaborative creative projects and hopefully some new cards (they’re just too cute). It’s been a wonderful 2 weeks with these gals so far, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds! Make sure you guys keep an eye on what we’ll be up to 🙂
