We love having fun with mixing prints, graphics, and colors, and since spring/summer is the perfect time to do so, we decided to steal this chick’s look, because we’re simply diggin’ it. The light cotton tee and the strappy sandals will keep you cool as the temps rise, but the pencil silhouette creates a sophistication. Pair it off with some diva sunnies, plus a bag and watch that pop, and you’re ready to rock. But to be honest, we’ve never tried this hair texturizer before — but the packaging was too cute to pass up!
With Memorial Day right around the corner we’re getting excited about a nice day off in the sun (fingers crossed for a nice sunny day!). When you’re a kid you spend Memorial Day watching a parade gathering candy (or walking in it, ugh), but when you’re old enough to drink, all you can think about is who is having the BBQ. While we’re mostly still in category 2, there are many options for your upcoming time off – including being active, hitting the beach, or laying low and meeting friends out later.
Here are some outfit options for your day time activity, and day or night casual! Enjoy your day off, but don’t forget what the holiday is here for – remembering those who served for our beautiful country!
Daytime Hang: Memorial Day weekend is when you get a first glimpse of summer! Whether it’s checking out the local parade or heading to a friends for some burgers & dogs – all you want to do is be outside! A light flowy shirt is perfect for the humid New England warmth and a large tote will store a sweater for the chilly evenings. It may not be summer yet, but go with it – everyone else is!
Active Day: Confession – Reg shops the men’s section at H&M for workout tops. They just fit so well, and let’s be real, no one knows they’re for dudes. Throw a pretty sports bra underneath and it looks really cute. This outfit isn’t intended for an all day sweat-a-thon, but it’ll keep you comfortable while doing things like riding bikes, trail hikes, etc. Bright casual sneakers, trendy sweats, a headband for your pesky bangs, and a backpack for a water bottle/camera/snacks is an easy and fresh look for a fun Memorial Day.
Night Out: If you’re using your day off to catch up on sleep or laundry, don’t worry, your Memorial Day is not shot! Meet up with some friends (if they’re not too sleepy from day drinking), and have one last night out before work! Since it’s still a tad chilly in the evenings, this top covers you up but gives you the freedom you want for an “almost summer” blouse. Top it off with a cute wristlet, eye catching jewelry and some fun chunky sandals. You know the weather is getting better when you can show those toesies!
The Easter holiday means a lot of different things to lots of different people. It can be going to church, having a big dinner, hanging out playing games – you name it. This is why we’ve put together 2 completely different outfits for 2 completely different scenarios. These pieces are not only springy, but also easy to mix with each other or with items you already own. Now you can look fresh for the holiday with items that will last!
Hey everyone, Christa here – these are my first outfit pics ever, so be gentle! I was very excited to shoot these because getting dressed up for parties is one of my favorite things to do! There has been an annual Christmas potluck with friends going on since the early college days, and we’ve managed to keep it going after all of these years. It’s fun and delicious, and the only other “rule” besides bringing a top notch dish is formal attire. This doesn’t mean black tie, since we’re lounging around someone’s apartment, but it’s definitely more than your usual friend potluck dinner outfit. I wore this to the party on Saturday night and felt dressed up yet comfortable with my metallic sweater, a little bling, comfy knit dress (shown as a skirt) & booties.
Sweater: Marshall’s (similar here) // Dress (worn as skirt): Max Studio from Marshall’s (similar here) // Tights: Target // Booties: DSW // Necklace: Forever 21, old (similar here) // Jacket: Sachi, last year (similar here) // Bracelets: Yay Kindred // Nail Color: Essie Lollipop

This season we are all about the contrasting neutrals. Simple black skinnies are essential for layering the look (this H&M pair is only $10.. say what??), while a chambray under a lightweight sweater not only works well here, but can also be combined endlessly with other outfits. We fully support investing a bit in some simple black ankle boots, because they’ll last significantly longer, and wear-in like a gem. The full collar on this peacoat along with the timeless structure of this bag pull this chic look together like whoa.
