January Moodboard

Happy Monday, loves! I have to say, although I like pink, it’s not my usual go-to, but this whole getting married thing has got me extremely lovey & girly ☺️. I’m loving the warm, romantic pinks as a contrast to the stark white and blue landscapes I’m seeing in Colorado right now (also amazingly beautiful in their own way!!). Xo

Pastel Inspiration

While visiting Reg in Boston this past weekend we popped over to The Booksmith in Brookline to kill some time before a most delicious brunch at Zaftigs. I stumbled upon the arts area and got a great deal on this gorgeous design book in the used books section (I got the mint green paged version).

I actually didn’t know it’s official title until looking it up on Amazon (Palette: 05: Pastel – New Light-Toned Graphics), and it doesn’t matter because it’s a fantastic book filled with delightful pastel design projects. It couldn’t be more fitting with Spring on it’s way! I flipped through the pages all evening, and it has got us scouring Pinterest for more pastel loveliness.

Raspberry Sorbet Mimosas

gm_RasberryMimosas_4

Tomorrow morning is 2015 — woah! When did that happen?

New Year’s morning can be a tricky thing — you’re tired, hung over, and exhausted from the night before, but you most likely want to celebrate the new year with some sort of delicious brunch/cocktail combo. If you’ve planned ahead and made reservations somewhere, congrats — you did great during this hectic holiday season. If not, we’ve got an easy and very delicious raspberry sorbet mimosa for you to show off to your friends!

gm_RasberryMimosas

Ingredients:

  • Raspberry sorbet — we used Talento, mainly for it’s gorgeous color, but also because they have tons of sorbet flavors
  • Champagne, Prosecco or Cava — we used Freixenet, a brut Spanish Cava, and it worked well since it didn’t have any extra sweetness (let the sorbet do that)
  • Rosemary sprigs

Just drop a scoop of the sorbet into your glass and fill ‘er up with the bubbles! Swirl around the rosemary sprig to give it a bit of herbaceous delight.

With something this easy, it’s sort of hard to not give it a shot! (*and if you’re looking for a bit of extra sweetness, rim your glass with sugar!)

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe New Years celebration! For those out East like us, be sure to wear your puffy coats and hats over those party dresses… it’s gonna be a chilly evening!

Summer Nail Color Crushes

Now that we’re finally getting a little glow to our skin, we aren’t quite as shy to show off some loud colors. Summer is our favorite time to flaunt those brights we’ve been eyeing, so show your hands some love and get playful with your color choices!

With Saturday already being February (!!) all we’ve been seeing is pink, pink pink for Valentine’s Day. Is it sad that we’re almost over pink already and the holiday hasn’t even began? That’s why we liked this picture…it’s definitely pink, but it’s also weirdly dramatic and edgy. But don’t worry, we’re not completely done with Valentine’s Day quite yet…we’ll have some VDay related posts for you in the coming weeks! Until then, have a fabulous, weekend, enjoy the Super Bowl if that’s your thing, and check out our Friday links…
