Dang, this week flew! We’re not complaining, but with lots of busy weekends for both of us, it seems like April came and went in a moment! Christa is headed to Boston on Friday night for a Father John Misty concert and then taking part as a model in the Trashion Fashion show in Hartford on Sat (eek, so nervous!), and Reg and her ladies are poppin’ up to Portland, Maine to explore and eat, eat, eat!
Today and tomorrow are 2 very specials days…today is National Donut Day, and tomorrow is Reg’s birthday! We get to spend the weekend together with our guys, good roomies and delicious food – aka the perfect birthday. We’re hoping to pop over to Harpoon for a brewery tour on Sat, have a fancy-pants seafood dinner that night, and enjoy another tasty brunch on Sunday morning. Cheers to that!
cct // I’m attending 2 weddings in 1 day this summer (!!) and have been searching for a dress. I’ve been debating Rent The Runway, have any of you guys used it before?? I have my eye on this dress and this dress!
rkv // I’ve had a handful of life changes going on recently, and have been feeling like my brain just can’t calm down because of it. I mentioned it to Christa and she sent me this helpful little article.
PS. Did you guys get a chance to hear our interview on The Dinner Special podcast?? Learn all about how we met, our favorite places to grab a bite in our two cities, and what our last meal would be (hint — it’s covered in cheese and sauce)!
Good afternoon, friends! Something really cool happened to us about a couple months ago and we can finally show you! We got a fun email from Gabriel Soh, the guy behind The Dinner Special podcast asking us to chat with him about our food, our friendship and everything in between! The twist was that it was a Skype video – not just an email questioner. We were intrigued, and after looking at the amazing interviews he has posted on his site, youtube and iTunes, we signed up.
We had a lovely afternoon chatting with Gabriel about pizza, our life long friendship and our cities. The video went off without a hitch (this was our first video chat without a family member or friend on the other end!) and we’ve been patiently waiting to see it all come together while he continued to post some amazing chats with big name food bloggers!
We saw this posted on The Dinner Special Facebook last night and were so excited it was about to air!
You might have already seen it on one of our many social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), but we wanted to give an official shoutout to Gabriel – who has been getting some amazingly inspirational people on his podcast. And if you haven’t heard our interview yet, here it is! 🙂
Also, this video screenshot is hilariously “us” – love it!
Wait, it is fall, right? Then why have some of these last few days felt like some of the hottest we’ve had all summer? Seems like mother nature may be playing tricks on us, but hey, we don’t hate it. Pretty soon I’m sure it’ll be nice and chilly, and we can all partake it a little apple-fritter and mulled wine action. But until then, I suppose we can just keep rocking those open toed shoes and strappy tanks.
