Happy Tuesday, friends! We hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend doin whatever you were doin! I had a lovely leisurely weekend walk over to Elizabeth Park on Saturday afternoon with Curtis. We had not a plan in the world and decided to grab a frisbee, some snacks, and walked over to the park. Our favorite part about living in the West End of Hartford is being in walking distance to some of our favorite restaurants and bars, but especially our short distance to Elizabeth Park. We grabbed some coffee and iced tea from Tisane’s, and then headed over. We were pleasantly surprised that the Rose Garden had a 2nd wave of blooms that happen this time of year, so we wandered around looking at all of the roses, herb gardens and wild flowers.
Yup, summer is in full throttle right now. With the 4th of July long weekend ahead of us, and some seriously humid days, we’ve got some light and airy outfit choices to keep your holiday cool and easy.
Hello lovlies! I’m back in the US recovering from jet lag and trying desperately to organize all of my photos (so manyyy). But it was all worth it, I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to tell you all about it! I’m starting off with an outfit pic from one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been – Riomaggiore & Manarola, Cinque Terre. These little towns had the most vibrant colored backgrounds and lovely alleyways, so I tried to steer clear of some people and snap a few pics.
Since we were doing a lot of walking and hiking up these steep little towns I was all about comfort – converse, boyfriend jeans & a comfy tee. It was perfect for the 70°F & sunny weather we had, and my fun necklace added the perfect about of glam without adding any layers that would have become cumbersome with our hiking.

Happy Monday, and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! I didn’t get a chance to photograph my Easter outfit, but Reg was able to document this look after our delicious brunch last weekend (Reg’s outfit here). I was so excited to finally start wearing these pants – I got them back in January and are a tad too lightweight for winter weather – and they’re pretty much my new fav! While they’re comfy like pajamas, I can’t help but feel extremely dressed up when I wear them! They give me the casual chic look that is pretty much my favorite look of all time. I hope one of these days I can get the courage (and prepare my feet) to wear some cute pumps with this for an even more glammed out look. *PS – It was crazy windy, so don’t mind the wild hair!
I finally did it, I found a jumpsuit. After a long and arduous search, this black little number feels just right. With temps in the 60s yesterday (finally!), I was able to frolic around town feeling like I was wearing pajamas, yet looking like I read a fashion magazine from time to time. Christa and I decided to take advantage of our girls weekend in Hartford by shooting some pics of my fun new onesie. Now I just need to find some kind of heel so I can wear in out on the weekend. I’m thinking wedges…any suggestions?
Hope you all are having lovely starts to your weeks!
With the warmer weather (hopefully) right around the corner, we’re looking towards cute billowy tops. They’re perfect for spring layering, and the crisp white matches just about anything. It can easily go from day to night with some playing of accessories. We’re loving this guy for it’s flirty layered detail on the bottom, which can also easily be tucked into skirts.
Ankle jeans have become a major trend lately, but we’ve been hearing some so-so opinions on them, mainly because they can be a style challenge. Well, we’re here to tell you that we love them, and even though it’s not quite warm enough to rock all of these looks, our minds are on vacation to warmer places. So go on ladies, be a little scandalous and flash a little ankle.
I know “Winter Whites” are really in right now – and I think they’re adorable – but I would have been lost against this bright white snow! Winter Darks are still great in my book, and I love being able to mix and match black and brown with added accessory pops. A chunky hat, patterned gloves and a texture purse were just what I wanted to bring attention to my dark ensemble. I was a little more dressed up than usual for a winter romp through a snowy park, but my boyfriend Curtis and I had just come from the New Britain Museum of American Art to see the Maurice Sendak exhibit when we stumbled upon Walnut Hill Park right behind the museum. I can’t wait to explore it in the spring/summer when it’s lush and green!
