Happy Weekend

Can we just talk about this delicious looking truck for a second?! We don’t know if we’ve ever seen an automobile look so damn fine. Carb City, and we want in on that.

ANYWAYS, back to real life. We’re here with our Friday links (sorry for the radio silence last Friday, life can be so hectic sometimes!) Christa was in Colorado with Curtis visiting her brother from last Thursday-Tuesday (you may have seen some instagram pictures here & here), and this week has just been insane! I think the full moon week crazy-vibes came a week early…

But is everyone amped for the weekend? We’ll be spending it in Hartford together, shooting our first official contribution post for CT Eats Out! Can’t wait to team up with these guys and share with you all what we come up with. We’ll be doing a monthly post for them, so stay tuned!

cct // Still trying to do the “eat less sweets” thing, but it’s girl scout cookie season, and things like this mock me…

rkv // Yum yum dan dan

cct // I love finding DIYs that are beautiful and not that hard (insert heart eye emoji here)

rkv // Often times when I tell people that I can be pretty shy, they’re a little surprised (considering I definitely have a boisterous side). But one arena that always makes me tense up is networking, so I found this to be a nice read.

cct // Love me some Boho outfits

rkv // 13 personal trainers giving some of their best advice

cct // Design*Sponge is killing it right now — loving this, this & this.

Travel Diary // Vermont, Year 2

gm_Vermont2015_2

Around this same time last year, Curtis and I went to visit my aunt and cousin in Vermont, and fell in love with it! We had our next visit planned for this year (2 weekends ago) and unfortunately due to some annoying car issues, Curtis couldn’t come. I did however go with my mom and grandparents which was equally as lovely. Once again we stayed at my aunt’s in-laws vacation house in town that was just perfect for us – a kitchen, a place to hang, and a gorgeous view! (Seriously though, isn’t that view great?!)

We explored Middlebury for a bit, took lots of walks, and relaxed a bunch – aka perfect fall weekend!

We also got a tour of my aunt’s garden (both vegetables and flowers), and it was gorgeous!

And lastly we popped over to the Woodchuck Cider House again, and had an awesome time with the self guided tour and samplings. YUM!

How’s your fall going? We’re always looking for cute New England day trips – what is your favorite spot to travel to this time of year?

Guys, this week! It felt long, but also extremely quick at the same time – how does that even happen?! No complains anymore, because it’s Friday (yay!). We’re chillin, chillin this weekend and couldn’t be happier. The following weekend, us G&M ladies plus Reg’s roomies are heading up to New Hampshire for a little hiking, leaf peeping and r&r, aka perfection. Now that it’s officially fall we’re happy – crisp air, leggings, apple pie, you know, fall things. Have a great weekend! xo

cct // My wanderlust is in full force these days! How many of the 100 of the Most Beautiful Unesco World Heritage Sites have you been to?!  I’ve been to 13 but plan on seeing a lot more before I’m through!

rkv // While summer will surely be missed, we can’t help but love fall in New England. But if you’re on the struggle bus, here are 4 ways to embrace autumn

cct // Welllll, so these are pretty harsh, but unsurprisingly very true ha. While they might not all apply to me personally, I’ve seen most of the 19 Signs You’re A Superior Asshole From The Northeast in the wild.

rkv // Last year we did a tutorial for an easy little updo, and today I found this equally easy half-up version!

cct // Our friend Gabe made us a delicious turkey & broccoli greens (similar to kale) risotto a few weeks ago and I’m hook on finding other amazing sounding risotto recipes. Doesn’t this Tuscan Kale and Pumpkin Seed Risotto from Cupcakes & Cashmere sound like perfection?

rkv // The other day my roommate gave me some pieces of a caramel apple, and it was incredible — I had forgotten how delicious they are! If you’re in the mood for some nostalgia, here’s an easy recipe

Hello loves! Wow, it’s already Friday?! This week has been busy and we’ve been looking forward to this weekend so much that I’m astonished it went by so fast! We’ve got a full weekend ahead of hanging out, catching up with friends and partying it up, and we can’t wait! What are you up to this weekend?

cct // Since moving into the new apartment, decluttering and really paying attention to what we want vs. need has been a big priority in our house. Curtis got this great book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, and it really has changed our lives!

rkv // Oh, hello there, blackberry mojito

cct // This overhead lighting DIY is gorgeous!

rkv // Just when we thought that snow was gone

cct // Find ways to travel people, it’s life changing!

rkv // While cardio certainly is not my favorite thing, it’s nice to have some tips on how to get an effective workout on the elliptical

cct // There are 2 kinds of people
