Loving Now // Chunky Sweaters

Welp, it’s almost February! That *usually* means chillier temps coming our way. We’ve been lucky enough to have a bit of a warm spell (for New England weather), but we know you’re coming for us, polar vortex. We’re going to be reaching for our favorite chunky sweaters before we know it!

And side note, we should have named this “Chunky White/Neutral Sweaters”, because apparently we only pin white/grey/tan sweaters, ha. Do you have a favorite chunky sweater you grab when the temps plummet? What are your favorite sweater brands? xo

Happy Weekend!

janet.leigh_.scream copy{image via}

I mean, it doesn’t really get much more Halloween-y than a classic Hitchcock scream, amiright? We’re big fans of this holiday around these parts — there’s just something so fun about listening to eerie surf-rock, watching spooky flicks, getting all dressed up, and eating so much candy that you feel like a kid again. Are you guys getting into the spirit? We wanna know what your costumes are! Here’s to a bitchin’ Halloween weekend, and let’s all hope no one gets stabbed in the shower like that chick up there *points up*. Too much?? 🙂

Love Want Need // Chunky Sweaters & Winter Boots

Remember last week when we mentioned a mild winter? Well we were just kidding. And to our fellow New Englanders, we apologize for jinxing you. We were hit pretty hard by Juno yesterday in both Boston and Hartford, but we ain’t complainin’ (snow dayyy!). SO all of those retailers with their Spring 2015 lines coming out… slow your roll, okay? Because it’s still chilly and slushy around these parts, and we need some gear to get us through it all. Hail to the chunky sweater and waterproof boot!

Put a Scarf on It, Part Une

Hey all, and welcome to our first official post of the new year! Hope you all had a splendid couple of days off, and feeling alive and ready to rock 2015’s world.

Two weekends back, Christa threw her annual holiday pot-luck, which we always make a dressy occasion (because, why not?). The day of, we were sort of on a roll. Somehow we had managed to get two post photo-shoots done, the house tidied, and meals started, all before 3:00. At this point we figured hey, we’re getting dressed up anyways, might as well get some outfit shots out of it!

And since no New England winter look is complete without a scarf, here is our tribute.

(By the way, I swear I smile more than this… I was just trying to channel my inner Tyra with my “smeyes.”)

Sweet Beats // August 2014

aug_playlist copy{image via}

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been a bit of a stress-case these days. Maybe it’s my end-of-summer melancholia? Whatever the reason, soothing folk/indie kind of music just has a way of easing my nerves and bringing me back to reality. Few things make me happier than a long walk in late summer with warm sounds ringing in my ears.

Hope you all find this month’s playlist equally tension relieving.

Fall Style ’14 // Gap

We’re not quite ready for fall, but alas, we have succumbed to the fashion world. Gap is one of the many brands who is on point this upcoming season — with slouchy fits, warm neutrals, and lots of texture. It’s hard to say so-long to summer, but the prospect of trendy layers makes the transition a little smoother.
